Towards left about halfway down the room are two head-to-head grand pianos that battle it out all night long. Immediately inside, you are greeted by a large room with a small bar on your left, and a large one on your right. Silky's is a very versatile bar, which is important for the life of any bar on Beale. If you're walking down Beale and want to know why people are carrying around a big yellow bucket, it's because they just finished a famous Memphis beverage whose taste can be likened to that of 'every single bar beverage plus a wedding cake in a bucket,' or 'beer, liquor, and sugar.' You can only get it at Silky's.
It's a Beale Street staple, known for its back-yard goats and gallon-deep divers.
